Grimes Lions Club Scholarship Award Winners

Grimes, IA- Members of the Grimes Lions Club recently hosted two recent graduates of Dallas Center-Grimes in order to award scholarships to assist them in their planned post-secondary education.

Jordan Kloewer and Janna Burger were each awarded a $500 scholarship check for their outstanding achievements in school and participation in community service initiatives. 

Steve Reneker (2013/14 Grimes Lions Club Secretary) presents a check in the amount of $500 to Jordan Kloewer.  Jordan, a recent graduate of Dallas Center-Grimes High School was a 2013 Grimes Lions Club Scholarship recipient.

Ryan Burger (2013/14 Grimes Lions Club President) presents a check in the amount of $500 to Janna Burger.  Janna, a recent graduate of Dallas Center-Grimes High School was a 2013 Grimes Lions Club Scholarship recipient.

Kloewer plans to attend the University of Iowa to study business.  Burger plans to attend Bethel University (St. Paul, MN) to study nursing. 

The Grimes Lions Club conducts fundraising efforts throughout the year so that they may continue to support charitable and community betterment causes, including offering support for ongoing education.  We are proud to work with and support these outstanding young people and are grateful to the many community supporters and donors that make awards such as these possible.
